Apple Crisp – Trent

6 cups peeled, sliced tart apples

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup butter (or shortening)

3/4 cup flour

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. baking powder

Dash of salt

1/2 cup oatmeal


In a 9″ x 13″ greased (use butter) baking pan, arrange the apple slices and set aside.  In a large bowl mix together all the remaining ingredients adding the oatmeal last.  Then pour toping over the apples and then press the whole thing down using your hands.  Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
